As disciples of Jesus we can learn how the heart can play a role in our daily life. How we feel in our heart can affect the way in which we deal with the day. Proverb 18: 15 The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge; the ears of the wise seek it out. The heart in the scriptures is regarded as the source of Christian thought and feeling. It is as we bring our mind into subjection to the word of God that heart will be at rest. The Bible states the following about the heart. Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? (K.J.V.) (NIV) 11/ God will reward to man according to his…………………………… Note: It is the heart that will get an urge to do something and then it is the mind that will make the decisions and it is the heart, mind and body that will pay the price. But if we read the Word of God, with our mind the heart will be renewed everyday and the body will follow. The Word will travel from the head to the heart. By praying to God he will help us to change our hearts. For the believer. Note: It is at the time when we see in our heart an attitude of sin, which dwells in our heart that we should seek God’s forgiveness. Of course it’s your free will, you can choose which way you should go. (Repeat) Cast me not away from Thy presence O Lord And take not Thy Holy Spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation And renew a right spirit within me. The way for an unbeliever to change his or hers heart. Note: When we were unbelievers we had to see the depth of our sin to come to the place of repentance therefore, unless an unbeliever can see the depth his or her own sin, they will never be able to take the next step. That is to seek God forgiveness and ask Jesus to come into your life and heart. Jesus explained this way:- John 3:3 In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.” (NIV) 14/ What is a word for asking for forgiveness?………………………….
