I hope that from the time of salvation, your "born again" experience, you have experienced something stirring in your heart and that the Holy Spirit has touched you in a way that you may even find it hard to explain. You know that you have changed and so can everyone else see some change in you. The enemy will not like that. He has lost you to Jesus and he will make ever effort to bring you down and break your confidence in your salvation. He will remind you of your past and he doesn't mind who he will use to do so. Therefore it is important as disciples of Jesus Christ to understand the promises in the Word of God. We need to understand our legal position in Christ, (The truth) which will help us to defend ourselves from the arrows of the devil while we are still in our present condition. In addition, we must confess our literal position (A truth). 2Corinthians 5:16 So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! (NIV) Romans 6:6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin-- 7 because anyone who has died has been freed from sin. (NIV) This message is that we are a new creation in Christ. 1/ We need to understand our 2/ We need to confess our 3/ We are a
Salvation our Legal position Colossians 1:13 For He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. (NIV) 4/ Where has God brought us? 5/ In Jesus we have
We are born again, and the new American Bible and the KJV uses the word, "translated" into the Kingdom instead of the word "brought". Translated means to transform or convert or transfer a person from Earth to Heaven. We can say we no longer belong to earth but to Heaven. All we need to do is bring our thinking into line with what the Word of God says. This is our legal position. 6/ Where do we belong?
Our Literal Position. 7/ Is the Word of God the truth? 8/ Do we believe what it says is fact? 9/ Is our faith based on some warm feeling? 10/ Is it the completely Word of God or is it only partly the Word of God with some stories thrown in?
The answer to the above questions is; it is the total Word of God inspired by God It is what it says it is, the matter is settled and we believe it. Knowing this is important to the believer because we need to apply the Word to our life to overcome the works of the enemy. Our literal position is we are on this earth but my legal position is we are seated with Christ in heavenly places. 11/ Our Literal Position, is we 12/ Our Legal Position, is we
Once we have settled this, let's look further. God’s First Promise Ezekiel 36: 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. (NIV) Here in Ezekiel we can see that God is going to do a new work within us He is going to regenerate us and make us into a new man. 13/ He will give us a 14/ He will put a 15/ He will remove a 16/ He will put His 17/ He will move you to and
What is Man? When we want to understand why God has chosen man to be His Temple as in 2 Corinthians 6: 16 states in part B v 16 b For we are the temple of the living God. 18/ How many parts to man? 19/Three parts are the the and the
2 Corinthians 5: 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! (NIV) Galatians 6: 15 Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is a new creation. (NIV) Ephesians 2:6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (NIV) 20/ Where are we seated? and with whom are we seated ?
