 - Weary Not

Come all that are heavy burdened

Jesus calls all that are heavily weighed down by the burdened of life and its cares. Some have read this scripture and have been inspired and comforted by Jesus’ words.

Matthew 11:28 Come to Me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke on you and learn of Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you shall find rest to your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light. (MKJV)

Imperfect Church

Another aspect of this call by Jesus in the above scripture is for those who are weighed down by physical infirmities, psychological disorders, emotional imbalances, and spiritual death.

It is the weight of this life Jesus uses to make this appeal to all. He knew the sickness of this world and the heart of man. He came to destroy Satan’s work and set the captives free.

The universal Church is a collection of imperfect people and I am one, but nevertheless it is the vehicle God has chosen to portray His love to the world.

2Corinthians 1:20 For all the promises of God in Him are yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God by us. (MKJV)

We see from these scriptures that we are required to be in HIM to receive the promises and that this is a clear action from us. The responsibility rests with us. We as individuals must take responsibility for our own rebellion in the form of sin and cleanse ourselves through the act of repentances accepting the redemptive work of Jesus Christ blood on the cross.

2 Corinthians 7:1 Then having these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilements of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. (MKJV)

We must judge ourselves and not leaving it to another for others don’t have to live with the outcome, taking responsibility for our Christian walk rest with us. We are not to judge others.

John 5:22 For the Father judges no man, but has committed all judgment to the Son, (MKJV)

God has already set in place His Judgments and these can not be changed. The only thing that can be changed is our standing, whether we want to stay in sin or not.  Whether we want to adjust our thinking knowing God Judgments are final. Our judgments with Godly leading can avert a final destruction under Gods judgments.

God does not want to judge any of us. He wants us to assess our own condition of course He has given us His guidelines to follow the righteous of His Son. He wants us to build a life that will not be burnt up in the fire but come out as pure gold. Let us have no regrets, we must judge ourselves. We will receive Crowns of reward if we live a Godly life.

Warning to us of Pending Judgment

Capernaum is a type of modern day Church which has risen to a place of respectability in the eyes of the world. We must however realize that the church is a group of people and it is not somebody else, it is us.

Matthew 11:23 And you, Capernaum, who are exalted to the heaven, shall be brought down to hell. For if the mighty works which have been done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. 24 But I say to you, it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment than for you.25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank You, O Father, Lord of Heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the sophisticated and cunning, and revealed them to babes.(MKJV)

We need to understand that because the Church is made up of a group of un-disciplined misfits from all over the world and all are at different stages on the road of regeneration.

Jesus commanded us to love one another as He has loved us. We are not to run around the body of Christ acting as the little holy spirit as that is God’s job not ours. Some think they have attained in certain areas and this is most likely true but none are perfect.

Luke 6:41 And why do you look at the splinter that is in your brother's eye, but do not see the beam that is in your own eye?42 Or how can you say to your brother, Brother, let me pull out the splinter in your eye, when you yourself do not see the beam that is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First cast out the beam out of your own eye, and then you shall see clearly to pull out the splinter that is in your brother's eye. (MKJV)

A critical spirit in a person brings them to a place of acting in idolatry. Idolatry leads to rebellion, rebellion to stubbornness and this is seen by God as the sin of witchcraft. (1 Samuel 15:23)

Witchcraft is when man uses another spiritual power or personal power to achieve things that are done by God. It is a counterfeit but nevertheless it has some power and may give a glimpse of things to come. In the end it will lead to destruction. It is the absence of faith in the one and only God.

Now we need to see what God has to say about witchcraft.

Leviticus 20:26 And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine. 27 A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them. (KJV)

Witchcraft in the Church

Witchcraft in the Church is when people go around say negative things about others. Some do this to build (covetousness) a support structure or network for their own justification in regards to certain matters which is idolatry. In Australia we would say they are grandstanding.

Witchcraft indicators come in three parts.

Firstly: God has told me this about you!

Secondly: Don’t manifest by what I have to say!

Thirdly: I come to you in love!

Finally: Whack, it’s all no good.

But if we have eared then God gives a direction, “repent”. Secondly we should seek forgiveness from the one we have offended if possible. If we don’t the consequence is drastic.

Revelation 2:5 Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent, and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and will remove your lampstand out of its place unless you repent.(MKJV)

If it is God, He wouldn’t deliver anything that a person can’t handle. God is in the business of edification, comfort and exhortation. He is not in the business of condemnation. So should the prophets of God be the same. We may feel a challenge, but it won’t be anything you didn’t know.

Luke 6:43 For a good tree does not bring forth corrupt fruit, neither does a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 44 For every tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush.45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth the good. And an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth the evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.46 And why do you call Me Lord, Lord, and do not do what I say? (MKJV)

A Prophet of God

Will come with a message and it will fall into three parts.

Firstly: They will take responsibility for what they have to say and they won’t say God told them. Statements like; I know you have done great things for God and in your personal life. Whichever of these is applicable to you at that time?

Secondly: They will say things like I have noticed this coming into your Ministry or your life again; whichever of these is applicable to you at that time?

Thirdly: They will say I know you and I know this will be a force to drive you onto greater than you have done.

Finally: They will say. You’re my friend and brother or sister, I love you. It will be without any fear of losing you.

Those who are lead by the Spirit see problems, but they don't talk about to others or use people’s names. They go out and try to bring about positive change personally, socially in the church by bringing teaching that can have an influence for the best or talk privately to the person of concern.

Revelation 3:18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold purified by fire, so that you may be rich; and white clothing, so that you may be clothed, and so that the shame of your nakedness does not appear. And anoint your eyes with eye salve, so that you may see. (MKJV)

Weary not

Don’t worry what people say about you, they are blessing you. They can bless you or they can bless you. People will say what people will say. We need to pray for one for another not giving up, because we know, tale bearers go to hell. We should be all about seeing people run the race to win the crown. It is sad. It’s not nice what people say in the Church about you or others. We should feel sadness for them because what they sow is what they will harvest.

Please just bless them.

Don’t talk about others in a bad light because it’s a reflection on you.

Bring about a change if you really believe in what is concerning you.

If some is saying some about you that may hurt. Get over the pain quickly and forgive them, but that doesn’t mean you have to spend time with them again. Jesus said to love them and forgive them but we don’t have to trust them. Trust is earned by the passage of time and a demonstration of a changed attitude.

Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows, that he also will reap. 8 For he sowing to his flesh will reap corruption from the flesh. But he sowing to the Spirit will reap life everlasting from the Spirit. 9 But we should not lose heart in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we do not faint.10 So then as we have time, let us work good toward all, especially toward those of the household of faith.(MJKV)

Be a blessing

Let us not be weary getting tired or frustrated when things don’t always go our way. Let us be known for well-doing, doing good for other people for in due season, the right time in the future we shall reap if we faint not." We shall reap – just like a farmer there’s a reward of a good harvest at harvest time. Faint not - don’t give up.

Don’t give up, be patient in the future and you will see many people come to know God if you continue to do good things for people. From all your good work others will be blessed.

God places a sense in our heart that He wants us to do something .We hear His call to service to help others as His representative. We are a new generation a new guard who hear God and warn others of dangers and announce by the call of the trumpets Jesus is Lord and savor. We may be in a valley facing times of great difficulty or disaster but we have a MAJOR announcement which can’t be denied.

We have learned some things. The Word comes first and achieves what it must. The Devil comes second to try and steal it away. Finally the Word comes and settles all matter once and for all.

Our God is our Shepard and our defender.

I hope I have been some help to all the imperfect Christians in the Church who hear and read this lesson. Jesus has promised He has begun a good work in us and He will see it through to completion.

Feel sorry for the perfect ones who Jesus says, “Away from Me I don’t know you. It is possible you are the one God is asking to pray for them because no one else wants to. Wouldn’t it be great if pray for those who oppose us, “for we know the truth and the truth had set us free”. What an honor it is to intercede for the perfect.

Take all things to God in prayer.

Amen
