A step in Practicality of faith. (“Do it”)

As we walk and talk with Jesus we will develop an understanding of the dimensions of God and that He is uncontainable and not able to be held by the mind of man. In actual fact man has an inability to understand the fullness of God, but we should not be deterred by this, but be encouraged, because we have the mind of Christ.

We have:

i.    The Holy Spirit to be our teacher.

ii.    We have the word of God to also instruct us in the manner in which we should walk our Christian life.

iii.    We also have the Teacher in the body of Christ to open the word of God up to us, as to bring us to maturity.

Isaiah 59:19  So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

We the Church are to walk before man and be a light to man and not a stumbling block to some. As you are reading this you might think of something that may have caused another to stumble.  Some have caused another to stumble thinking they are doing the right thing.

Practical Faithfulness

So what have been some of these things I have seen in the Church. Please note I am not saying they are totally wrong, but we need to be aware.

A.    Showing disapproval of the worship leaders, Pastor, in a gathering.

B.    Saying thing to a leader, “you should do this or that”.

C.    Interrupting someone when they are talking, thinking your issue is more important.

D.    Prophesying or speaking in tongues at an inappropriate time.

E.    Telling people that God has given you a Word for them.

F.    Praying too long and too many prayers.

G.    Praying for too long with new Christians.

H.    Making too many comments about what the devil has done and what God has said to you.

I.    Taking your problems to a new Christian.

J.    Taking an action without consulting the Pastor.

K.    Making thing sound too Spiritual.

Thing we can do.

When we look at Jesus as our example we should remember there are many aspect to His character and nature and we should consider all aspects of Christ to see Him as our example. Some writers write in narrow terms by only looking at Christ in one field, but we need to look at many aspects of His nature to understand our stance.

He is our example in the way we should live. As we study Him, in the word of God we will find the truth about any situation that we are facing. When studying the Word we will see clearly how we should walk, and what we should do and what we should not do. Then after we have studied and absorbed the Word into ours hearts, we can be transformed by the renewing of our minds. There are rewards in this life as well as the next. As true disciples, we are to walk in the same manner as He did, which means to live as He lived (1 John 2:6).

Mark 10:43 But it shall not be so among you. But whoever desires to be great among you, let him be your servant. 44 And whoever of you desires to become first, he shall be servant of all. 45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.

We don’t want to worry or frighten new Christians away, because they don’t fully understand. When they see the reality of Jesus in your life they will stay. It’s not what you say it’s what you do.

People hear or remember what they see.
