God is love, grace, mercy and He is a dotting Father who loves His children, He has written a love letter to us. The glories fresh spring of living water that flows from Gods throne is the glory of the truth found in the living word the Bible going out to the entire universe bringing life. The Bible is the Logos and that is the written words of God, all the words He wants to say to us. When we sit and read His words we see that they become alive and then they turn into Rhema, a word which has special significance to us. Q1/ The Bible is the written words of God, the Rhema. (True or False) Q2/ The Logos is when His word has come alive to us. (True or False) God speaks words of life to us all they exhort, edify, and comfort us and they bring a correction to our thinking so that we can have a better life. The word of God is living shaper than any two edged sword it is to divide and to separate right from wrong, the sheep form the goats. Q3/ God will not bring correction in our life. (True or False) The only time we see words of condemnation from Gods word is when He condemns the works of Satan. Jesus the Word of came to destroy the works of the Devil and He did this by speaking a word. Everywhere Jesus went He brought life, all He needed to do was say a word and people were healed. Q4/ God will not condemn the Devils work. (True or False) Eating is a favorite pastime for many, we love to go out for a meal with friends and love ones just to sit and talk. What we talk about are the things that are relevant such as, boyfriend, girlfriend, wife, husband, children, work, home, dreams, anger, sadness, bitterness, joy, disappointment, success, money and many more things. Whatever is close to our heart will be one of the things that will burst forth. Listen to your friends and see what is coming out of their mouths and you will see their love. Q5/ We never talk about what is relevant to our friends. (True or False) Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it shall eat the fruit of it. (MKJV) Proverbs 18:21 states, that what we speak will either give life or death a very powerful statement. Which one do we choose? Q6/ Jesus is life and the words He spoke gave life they exhorted, comforted, and edified people. (True or False) If a servant is speaking on behalf of God and we reject it, there will be dire circumstances, but only if what the servant is saying is in accordance with Gods word. When we look at Exodus we see that Pharaoh’s heart has been harden, that mean he didn’t want to listen to God and Gods servant Moses. Q7/ Pharaoh did want to listen to Moses. (True or False) Exodus 10:27 But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let them go. 28 And Pharaoh said unto him, Get thee from me, take heed to thyself, see my face no more; for in that day thou seest my face thou shalt die.29 And Moses said, Thou hast spoken well, I will see thy face again no more. (KJVA) Pharaoh speaks from his own mouth death towards Moses and he didn’t want to release the Israelites and all the goods Moses asked for. The result of this final exchange was that all the first born in any family would die in the nation of Egypt. Exodus 11:1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague more upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence: when he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether.2 Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow of his neighbour, and every woman of her neighbour, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold. 3 And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants, and in the sight of the people.4 And Moses said, Thus saith the LORD, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt: 5 And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.6 And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more. (KJVA) Q8/ All the firstborn in the land of Egypt died. (True or False) It is easy for us to judge Pharaoh but we find it very difficult to Judge ourselves. We have become saved and that we are on our way to heaven, but still the Lord has work to do in our members, the process of Regeneration. Q9/ We should Judge others and compare them to our self, because we are in a better position than them. (True or False) James 1:26 If anyone thinks to be religious among you, yet does not bridle his tongue, but deceives his own heart, this one's religion is vain. (MKJV) Vain means a waste of time or a characteristic of false pride or unproductive effort, a fruitless life and a vain attempt towards faith. You can be religious by going to Church and doing all the things others do but you are wasting your time if your tongue is saying bad things about others. Q10/ If we say bad things about people our faith is a waste of time. (True or False) James 3:1 My brothers, do not be many teachers, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. 2 For in many things we all offend. If anyone does not offend in word, the same is a full-grown man, able also to bridle the whole body. 3 Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, so that they may obey us, and we turn about their whole body. 4 Behold also the ships being so great, and driven by fierce winds, yet they are turned about with a very small rudder, where the impulse of him steering desires. 5 Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. Behold how little a fire kindles how large a forest! 6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. So the tongue is set among our members, spotting all the body and inflaming the course of nature, and being inflamed by hell. 7 For every kind of animals, and of birds, and of reptiles, and of sea-animals, is tamed, and has been tamed by mankind. 8 But no one can tame the tongue, it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. 9 By this we bless God, even the Father. And by this we curse men, who have come into being according to the image of God. 10 Out of the same mouth proceeds blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so. 11 Does a fountain send forth at the same hole the sweet and the bitter? Q11/ When we have come to the place of not say ill of others we have come to a place of Maturity. (True or False) Proverbs 18:6 A fool's lips enter into argument, and his mouth calls for strokes. 7 A fool's mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul. 8 The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly. (MKJV) All have spoken badly about others at sometime in our lives but it is through teaching we have found this to be unproductive and destructive not only in relation to others but ourselves. God has taken the foolish things of the world and brought them into a new life in Jesus and He has begun a good work in us so that we the foolish things of God can confound the unsaved wise of the world. Q12/ Those who speak in accordance with the word of God will be regarded as wise and it will be pleasing to God. (True or False) Proverbs 10:31 The mouth of the just brings forth wisdom; but the perverse tongue shall be cut out. 32 The lips of the righteous know what is pleasing; but the mouth of the wicked what is contrary. (MKJV) If you have got to this stage with this lesson and you have found that you have let your mouth say things which are displeasing to God and to man you may want to change the direction you are going in. Repentances is needed and a change of direction to advert the final judgment. A person who is a whisperers being full of envy malicious quarrelsome and deceitful are all worthy of death. Romans 1:29 being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; being full of envy, murder, quarrels, deceit, evil habits, becoming whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, insolent, proud, braggarts, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, perfidious, without natural affection, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous order of God, that those practicing such things are worthy of death, not only do them, but have pleasure in those practicing them. (MKJV) Q13/ Worthy of death means you could end in hell. (True or False) Q14/ Teaching about the way God thinks of whisperers, backbiters, quarrelsome and deceitful people should bring about change. (True or False) The effect from a repentant heart about the unrighteous things you have said will be that you will be revived and be brought back to life. A righteous life will speak of life and bring into existence the things that are not, life where death was. James 3:12 Can the fig tree, my brothers, bear olive berries; or a vine, figs? So no fountain can yield both salt water and fresh. (MKJV) Q15/ Can a Fig tree have Olives on it? (Yes or No) Romans 4:17 (as it has been written, "I have made you a father of many nations") --before God, whom he believed, who makes the dead live, and calls the things which do not exist as though they do exist. (MKJV) Once we have repented and started living in Gods word we will pray for those who may have caused us some problem and our heart will change. This then will lead us to a place where we will go out to help people building them up in the Faith exhorting, edifying and comforting them. 1John 3:18 My children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.(MKJV) Q16/ By speaking positive about others will bring life to you. (True or False) It is words of love from your mouth that will change your environment and you will find contentment in you life, because the words of bitterness will only serve to shorten your life stealing your peace. 1Peter 3:8 And finally, all be of one mind, having compassion on one another, loving the brothers, tenderhearted, friendly. 9 Never give back evil for evil, or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, giving blessing, knowing that you are called to this so that you might inherit blessing. 10 For he that wants to love life and to see good days, let him restrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking guile. 11 Let him turn aside from evil and do good. Let him seek peace and pursue it.(MKJV) Q17/ Restraining our tongue will mean we will have bad days. (Yes or No) If you don’t have anything good to say about others, say nothing or look into the word of God see what it has to say to you about others, then start to confess the positive out of any situation. Let us build up everyone with good words starting with our partners, children, families, friends and even our enemies. Phi 2:11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (MKJV) Our tongue was meant to proclaim the glory of God and not the condemnation of those around us. John 7:38 He who believes on Me, as the Scripture has said, "Out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water." (MKJV) The river that is to flow from our belly, are the word of exhortation, edification and comfort. We were not designed to speak ill of others because it won’t affect others as much as it will destroy your inner peace and in some cases bring ill health. Q18/ We were not designed to speak ill of others. (True or False) Jesus speaks words of life to us all they exhort, edify, and comfort us and they bring a correction to our thinking so that we can have a better life. The word of God is living shaper than any sword it is to divide and to separate right from wrong, the sheep form the goats. Q19/ We are called to exhort, edify, and comfort others. (True or False) Jesus is our example and if we follow Him as sheep we will see He gave life, but if we reject His teaching we will end up as goats. Goats are similar in looks to sheep but they will go to hell. Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it shall eat the fruit of it. (MKJV) Q20/ Tearing others down will destroy only ourselves. (True or False) An unripe fruit is bitter, but a ripe fruit is sweet so let the sweet words flow from your mouths so that life will be all around us. Let us sow love in words and deeds and we will reap an abundant happy life.
