Lesson no 41 The Condition of the Heart

The World is falling apart and that means the values of the past are falling away too. The nation of China has opened the doors to the World through the media with not many safeguards in place and the enemy is coming like a flood. The enemy brings sin, rebellion, disobedience and denial into the heart of man.

What this has meant to age-old customs and values are fighting against the degenerated values of the world that have been portrayed in films. Many young people are being affected by this invasion; their standard of life is being affected.

Isaiah 59: 19 So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him. (KJV)

The answer to the problem of the enemy coming in, can be found in the Word of God, not only the answer but how to deal with this problem.  

The standard can be broken into three parts.

I.    His word to give us instruction on how we can live a successful life.

II.    His Son the Lord Jesus Christ who paid for our atonement.

III.    The Church is the vehicle God has chosen to portray His love and bring about the disciplining of nations.

Paul in 1 Corinthians 13: 11 tells us when he was a child he thought as a child but as he grew he had to put away the childish things. Children are good at not taking responsibility. When we were children we were not aware of sin or what was right or wrong, but as we grew, our parents trained us and we developed an understanding of right or what was wrong hopefully based on the word of God.

Genesis 8: 21 The LORD smelled the soothing aroma; and the LORD said to Himself, "I will never again curse the ground on account of man, for the intent of man's heart is evil from his youth; and I will never again destroy every living thing, as I have done. (NASB)

When we were not Christians. We had little understanding of God’s ways. Now we are without excuse, because we have the word of God to read and to understand. The word of God brings a revelation to the believer, and is a light shining upon sin. Therefore we need to become responsible for our actions and go quickly to go to God when we make a mistake.

The effect of disobedience upon the mind and nature of Adam was not that he now had the desire to sin, to disobey God, but had kicked off the restraints. Adam and Eve had the desires to sin before the fall, just as Jesus had it too and He was tempted in every point too. Therefore, all of mankind has given into this new sin-nature through examples, attitudes and teaching, which are passed on by a previous generation.

It is not by a new DNA implanted into Adam that the curse is passed on. It is the carnal nature or the flesh desires to be in control and to sin. People want to find something else like DNA to blame.

Me, I, self and we need to stop placing the blame on everyone else or as in today’s world, people want to blame DNA for sin. We need to stop doing this and repent.

Ephesians 5:23  For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. (MKJV)

We should not differentiate from the Body of Christ the Church and our human family. Because here we can see in the Word of God has given us this comparison so that we regard our family in the same way in which we regard His Son and His Church. The family and Church can work together to overcome this problem in the heart by teaching the new and living way.

21 Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they be discouraged.

22 Slaves, obey your masters according to the flesh in all things; not with eye-service, as men-pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing God . (MKJV)

Point one Do everything unto the Lord

Point two Wives be subject to your Husband + Do everything unto the Lord

Point three Husbands, love your wives + Do everything unto the Lord

Point four Children, obey your parents + Do everything unto the Lord

Point five Fathers do not provoke your children + Do everything unto the Lord

Point six Workers, work hard for your boss + Do everything unto the Lord

The condition of the heart is not good in the un-saved but it is better in the Christian, but as a Christian we need to follow the three points below so that you will know what needs to be done to overcome your problems.

A/ Problem

Look into your heart to see if you can see sin, rebellion, disobedience and denial.

B/ Identification

Take responsibility for your disobedience or sin.

Once you have done this you can come to the place of cleansing.

C/ Cure

Come forward to the front to repent and ask God to forgive you in an act of obedience to His word. (HE WILL FORGIVE BECAUSE HE IS A LOVING GOD.)

Final Outcome.

A new life a fresh beginning new every morning, the hand of God is waiting.
