As disciples of Jesus that is one who follows Him, we should understand about His life and Ministry on this earth. First we need to look at the four Gospels to understand His character and nature. The four Gospels were written to four different groups of people and therefore they give a different PERSPCTIVE of His life. Q1/ Perspective is to look at things from different viewpoints. Luke Luke is writing to the Greeks that Jesus is the embodiment of wisdom. Luke being a doctor who deals with the birth and life of Christ in a humane way he want to show the readers the humanity of Jesus Christ, hence the term Son of Man. The Jews place importance on the fulfillment of prophecy, Romans on the man of action, Greeks on embodiment of wisdom. John the Apostle of love wrote about Jesus as the object of faith. All four are essential in the understanding of Jesus Emmanuel God with us. Jesus became man to be with us so that He could demonstrate His love for us. Matthew and Luke put a human face on Jesus by starting at His birth and than onto His growth and coming to His time of ministry.
Account according to Luke: Announcement of His soon coming birth. 1. Christ birth announced to Mary (Luke1: 26 to 38) (Matt 1:18to 25) 2. Mary visits Elizabeth (Luke 1:39 to45) about 7 or 6 BC 3. Between verse 51 and 52 Jesus grows up to a man some 18 to 19 years passes. Then Jesus reappears in 27AD and starts His Ministry. *What happened on these silent years? I think these silent years were a great time of growth for Christ because He knew that he was the Son of God and that He had come to earth to fulfill the Will and the Word of God. But he had to be subject to His earthly parents.

No2, 3 & 4 You could look at the life of David , Paul and John Mark and list can goes on. It appears to me that all the powerful people of God Go through a quiet time and it has been termed as the silent years. Christ is our example and we can see from the scriptures that He went trough the same things. We can see from other Biblical charters that they also had to go through silent years before they were able to fulfill the will of God. All are example of developed wisdom in their testing time, which again is appealing to the Greeks. Q16/ the development of wisdom was appealing to the Greeks. (True or False)
