A step in Practicality of faith. (“Do it”) There has been a battle between good and evil in the world, ever since Adam and Eve ate the fruit in the Garden. The act of eating the fruit was an act of rebellion and they never sought forgiveness in the garden. This act of rejecting God’s command was a sin against God. God created man with a free will, so that man could think for himself and make decisions regarding him too. Genesis 2:16 The LORD God commanded the man. He said, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden. 17 But you must never eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil because when you eat from it, you will certainly die."(GW) Q1/ The act of rejecting God’s direction is a sin. (True or False) Q2/ Repentance is required to regain fellowship with God. (True or False) Q3/ Man is created with a freewill. (True or False) It is sad to say that not only has man used his freewill to make decisions for himself, but he has also attempted to make decisions for others by force, and the use of fear. In the history of man, there have been constant battles by nations to dominate another, by force. Jesus is the focal point for all Christians, He is a leader who leads with love and says that love is the force that can overcome evil. Matthew 5:43 You have heard that it was said, "You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy." 44 But I say to you, Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who despitefully use you and persecute you,(MKJV) Q4/ Jesus said love your enemy. (True or False) Not only does He say it, He demonstrates it. We have two forces at play here, one is the force of power or aggression and the other is the force of love or grace. Force of power or control / intimidation The first point I would like to make is that nations use power and aggression to make their advance based on fear, intimidation and a belief that they have the right and a destiny to do so. Secondly: Their desire to dominate is, I believe a spiritual dynamic, so I will show you what the Bible has to say about the matter. Force of love Jesus was clear about what he had come to do He had come to confront evil and he stated the way in which the war would be fought. It is good fighting against evil. Matthew 10: 32, Then everyone who shall confess Me before men, I will confess him before My Father who is in Heaven. Mat 10:33 But whoever shall deny Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in Heaven. (MKJV) Q5/ Victory in life is to confess before man, that Jesus is Lord. (True or False) Q6/ The devil wants to control people through other people whom he controls. (True or False) Q7/ Jesus said if we confess Him he won’t confess us. (True or False) Matthew 10:34 Do not think I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. 35 For I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; 36 and a mans enemies will be those of his own household.(MKJV) Additional reference Luke 12: 49 to 53 Jesus was not saying that He was about to start a physical war, but a spiritual one, because anyone who believes in Him will face rejection and persecution. The teaching of Jesus Christ was radical and challenging to the establishment of the day, and is still challenging today. The Bible tells us to obey the law of the land, but it tells us we must never to deny that Jesus is Lord, whatever the cost. Q8/ Jesus said, “ I will start wars between nations”. (True or False) Q9/ If a father disagrees with his son about Jesus they will argue. (True or False) Q10/ You will be rejected because you believe in Jesus. (True or False) Hebrews 13: 17 Yield to those leading you, and be submissive, for they watch for your souls, as those who must give account, that they may do it with joy and not with grief; for that is unprofitable for you. (.MKJV) The law of this land (China) says you cannot have religious meetings in non-religious palaces to tell people about Jesus or any other belief. This is no problem to a Christian. There are many ways to tell people about Jesus. So we must obey the law of the land, but we must not deny that Jesus is the Christ. Q11/ There is only one way to tell people about Jesus. (True or False) As we walk with Jesus, we need not only to develop a defense against the works of the devil in our life, but also to take on an aggressive stance, based on the Word of God. The devil will try everything in his power to stop you. God has called us and He wants us to be sure of our legal position in Christ, so that we can rest securely in Him. Colossians 3: 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which you also are called in one body, and be thankful.(MKJV) Q12/ The devil doesn’t want us to be peaceful. (True or False) Q13/ God wants us to be peaceful. (True or False) This wonderful passage of Scripture in Ephesians is a spiritual concept. It doesn’t say we have to put on physical armour. Our armour is spiritual. It is to have an understanding of God’s Word and our legal position as believers. NOTE: We do not have to accept the literal state or position we are in. Ephesians 6: 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the world's rulers, of the darkness of this age, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Therefore take to yourselves the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Therefore stand, having your loins girded about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness 15 and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. 16 Above all, take the shield of faith, with which you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching to this very thing with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.(MKJV) Steps to take in our fight against the works of the enemy. 1. Know our enemy. 2. Take our defensives position and stand strong. 3. Know your legal position in God. 4. Study the word of God. 5. Believe that God will do the things he said in His word. 6. Use the word of God to attack the devil’s accusations. 7. Praying always. Q14/ God does not keep His promises. (True or False) The next two scriptures indicate the spiritual forces at play. They show that we need to be active in our endeavors to pray, and press in to God to find the answers. “Do you want to live in the Kingdom of God now on this earth?” Matthew 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of Heaven is taken by violence, and the violent take it by force. (MKJV) Luke 16: 16 The Law and the Prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God is proclaimed, and everyone is pressing into it.(MKJV) Q15/ We don’t need to do anything. (True or False) Q16/ We belong to the Kingdom of God. (True or False) The Bible is full of the promises of God but sadly “we have not because we ask not”. To receive the victory we need to take our battle to the Lord because the battle belongs to Him. Yes, we can all experience warfare, and the word of God is there for us to use, but where do we start? I have listed below only some areas of concern in our warfare. If you read these scriptures in the area of your need and confess them in prayer, in time you will see the victory. Victory is for every believer that is our legal right. Q17/ The battle belongs to us alone. (True or False) Q18/ Our responsibility are to confess the Word of God in all situations. (True or False) Q19/ Not everyone experiences warfare. (True or False) The Word of God is the LOGOS it is the truth. After reading the Word, the Holy Spirit will quicken a Word to our hearts and then it becomes a RHEMA a living word. This is the Word we should stand on and continue to stand on it until we see the victory. Faith is diametrically opposed to the ways of the natural mind and our mind is the battleground. Some battles can be simply be settled by finding a living Word and believing in it. a) Logos is "The Word" of God, found from cover to cover in your Bible. b) Rhema is "A Word” from God, revealed by the Holy Spirit, sometimes from "The Word" of God, sometimes from other sources. Q20/ Victory is only for some Christians. (True or False) When we pray we build a close fellowship and relationship with God and the devil doesn’t like it. It is in the realm of prayer that we will find the power of God that could be in our life. This power is life changing, world changing, pray with the word of God “Do it” and see your vision come to pass.
