The first time I read the above scripture, I received a revelation, that Jesus was moved by compassion. It was from reading this I realized that compassion is a key to healing. Jesus compassion and our compassion combined when we pray for the sick produce a very powerful prayer. It is this fervent prayer that produces a miracle. Matthew 9:35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.36 But seeing the crowds, He was moved with compassion on them, because they were tired and scattered like sheep having no shepherd. (MKJV) NOTE:- Healing is an act of our faith in response to a need based on the Word of God, and most importantly in the name of Jesus Christ. Hebrews 13: 8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today and forever. (MKJV) Q1/ Has Jesus changed? (Yes or No) Q2/ Did Jesus heal 2000 years ago? (Yes or No) Q3/ Did Jesus save people 2000 years ago? (Yes or No) Q4/ Can Jesus save people today? (Yes or No) Q5/ If Jesus can’t change can he heal today? (Yes or No) Luke 6: 17 to 19 And all in the crowd were trying to touch Him, for power came out from Him and healed all of them 3 John 2 Matthew 9:35 Luke 6:19 Jeremiah 17:14 Jeremiah 30:17 Hebrews 13:8 1Peter 2:24 Psalm 103:3 Isaiah 53:5 Exodus 15:26 Proverbs 4:20-22 Psalm 107:20 Matthew 8:8 James5: 14-15 Mark 16:17-18 By reading these familiar scriptures (LOGOS) above they may turn into a (RHEMA) living Word quickened to the heart. That is a personal revelation from the Word of God. One or more of these scriptures might strike a cord in your heart. Now once a person has a personal word from Gods Word, an interesting thing takes place. 1. Their faith changes from passive faith to active and then to aggressive faith. They know the Word is true. 2. The enemy of faith is man's own reasoning. The Word of God supersedes any situation and the healing can take place. 3. You then can stand on this Word by continuous confession and not accepting the literal position or state. 4. Your confession of your legal position or legal rights, which are verified by and in the Word of God, can bring about the healing. 1Peter2: 24 He Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that dying to sins, we might live to righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed. (MKJV) NOTE- Jesus when being tempted said, "It is written". We are not to read into the Word of God more than is there. It is the Word of God it is settled. Hopefully we believe it. We have been healed it's finished. This is THE TRUTH not a truth. Q6/ The word were is in the past tenths. (True or false) A person once said to me that healing is “we are being healed and we will be healed and we are being healed”. My reply was I’m sorry, I can't find in scripture it saying anywhere "we are being healed and we will be healed, by His stripes" This I believe is not an accurate interpretation and it is watering down our legal rights. Yes we may be literally sick and that is a truth, but not THE TRUTH. Q7/ Does it say, we are being healed? (Yes or No) Q8/ Does it say, we will be healed? (Yes or No) Q9/ Does it say, we were healed? (Yes or No) I am twice accountable to God if I go outside the Word of God when giving advice. My heart does go out to those who are sick and have not received their healing yet. I meet a lot of people who give their opinion and their opinion counts for nothing. It's what the Word of God says that is important. “Your legal position or rights.” Hebrews 13: 8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today and forever. (MKJV) Some say, "I can't question God's sovereignty in these matters concerning there healing" Well stop doing that and stand on His Word. A positive confession of God's promises such as, thank you God that I have been healed by His stripes. Please seek the scriptures to find your personal word from God and stand and then stand. Once you have stood keep standing. The testing time is difficult the enemy will say, "Did God really say." Q10/ Should we question the authority of the Word of God? (Yes or No) The Great Commission and the New Testament Divine Healing Covenant command the practice. Acts 1: 8 But you shall receive power, the Holy Spirit coming upon you. And you shall be witnesses to Me both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and to the end of the earth. (MKJV) In Mark 16: 14 to 18 we see that Jesus gave some direction to all believers as listed below. Directions A. Go into the entire world B. Preach the Gospel C. Baptizing those who believe Mark 16:20 And going out, they proclaimed everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the Word by miraculous signs following. Amen.(MKJV) Q11/ Did Jesus say, “be sent into all the world”? (Yes or No) Q12/ Did he say, “GO”? (Yes or No) *John 15: 5 without Jesus we can do nothing 13/ Will signs accompany the preaching of the Word? (Yes or No) The Out come of preaching is D. He who believes will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned. E. Signs will follow those who believe Q14/ What will follow the preaching of the Gospel? (Signs or nothing) Q15/ Will people be saved? (Yes or No) In Jesus name they will F. Cast out demons G. Speak in new tongues H. Take up serpents I. If they drink anything deadly it will not hurt them. J. Lay hands on the sick and they will recover. John 14:12 Truly, truly, I say to you, He who believes on Me, the works that I do he shall do also, and greater works than these he shall do, because I go to My Father. 13 And whatever you may ask in My name, that I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. (MKJV) Q/ 16 Should we use our name to perform the healings. (Yes or No) Q/ 17 Jesus name is all-powerful. (True or false) Q/ 18 If God said for you do something, could you do it? (Yes or No) CONCLUSION Jesus had authority from God, and it was this authority that He gave to all believers when he said go into all the world and preach the gospel, making them disciples and baptizing them. Then Jesus said I give you authority in my name. His name is powerful. It’s His name that brings about the healing. It’s His name that will set the captive free. I have cried over my inability to heal people whom I loved when I was not a Christian. Now that I know that Jesus is the healer I have found freedom in this, when I pray for the sick I know it is Jesus who does the healing. Luke 9:1 And He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases. (MKJV Q19/ Jesus has given us all authority in His name. (True or False) Q20/ Jesus is the healer and no other. (True or False) A person does not have to believe in God for God to heal them; God can use this healing for their salvation. We pray for all who are in need, We have only touched the surface of healing and there is more. Hebrews 13: 8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today and forever. (MKJV) 1. Has Jesus changed? - No. 2. Did Jesus heal 2000 years ago? - Yes. 3. Did Jesus save people 2000 years ago? - Yes. 4. Can Jesus save people today? - Yes. 5. If Jesus cannot change, can he heal today? – Yes.
